Much needed Update

So much has happened since I've last blogged. Brennen is now 1 1/2 years old and running and climbing everywhere and anything. He is so much fun and if I do say so myself he has an AWESOME personality! We are all doing well. Kris is still at Design Concrete as a Formen and I'm at NRC Concrete & Landscape doing Payroll, AP and HR. I work 3 days a week and then I get to be home the rest of the days with my little man. Brennen loves to read books, play with his cousins, dance, play with his toys and run his Mommy ragged! :o) I'm lovin every minute of it!

Time Flys by...

So obviously a lot has happend since I last blogged. I had my handsome boy Brennen 8 lbs 7 oz, 19 1/2 inches long and he is now 4 months and 1 week old 16 lbs 7 oz, 25 3/4 inches long. He is a joy to my and Kris's life. He has the sweetest smiles and laughs. We feel like a complete family now and always look forward to something else that he firgures out or does. We love being a family and really enjoy the sweet spirit that Brennen brings into our home. We love you!

Brennen's Room

So we have Brennen's room all complete except for the glider and hamper they are still on the way. It has been so much fun putting his room together, well I think so maybe not so much for Kris he had to assemble everything but I did do the night stand and bouncer (9 months pregnant I must add). When we were done I just got this big smile on my face and told Kris "He is just going to love his room." Kris just gave me this look and I could totally read his mind," Like he's gonna know the difference." My loving husband didn't speak those words out loud and he did appease me with everything I wanted to do, well... except for the crown molding. He is the best! We are so excited to soon meet our little boy, we can't believe it's only 11 more days until his due date. Kris is so excited to become a dad and before Father's Day! Here are a few pictures of Brennen's room.

Our First Family Photo

So here we are, our first family photo. I'm 28 weeks along and yes that is my belly. Kris made me stick it way out so you can tell really well that I'm pregnant. We are having a lot of fun getting things ready for our new bundle of joy. We went and pre-registered for the hospital and did a tour of the floor. It was a real wake up call, especially when Kris pointed out the stir ups attached to the bed. Thanks honey for that! We also had fun registering for baby stuff at Babies R Us and Target, ok I had fun doing that and Kris was just being a good sport about it. I can't believe how much stuff there is to buy for a baby. We have painted baby boy Nelson's room and I can't wait to start getting things together to decorate and fill his room. I love doing stuff like that! As you can probably tell I'm very excited for the baby showers coming up. It's been very hard not to buy things because EVERYONE has told me not to until I have the baby showers. You will all be proud of me because I have been very good and not given in to the temptation of buying any baby stuff. Which you all should know is a miracle because I like being prepared and having everything done before hand. Kris just laughs at me because I do want everything done and ready and I still have 3 more months to go but I know it's going to go by real fast. I'm still enjoying every moment of my pregnancy. I am starting to feel bulky and the aches and pains that come along with it but it's ok with me because when I feel him move and kick I know that not everyone gets to have the opportunity to experience such a special part of the miracle of life. Kris finally felt him kick about 4 nights ago which was really fun. We love him so much already and we can't wait to meet him.
