Breaking in the new backyard

As you can see we had to invite everyone over to our home to show off our new backyard with a cookout. Thanks to everyone who contributed with the food. I think Jeff's Spicy 8 layer dip was the hit of the party! I hope everyone enjoyed themselves, I know I did! I love when I'm with family! We missed those that couldn't be there but we understand that you had other plans. When you look at the pictures you will see that the Nelson men can never take a normal picture. I think they do it just to annoy there wives. We love them anyway!

The backyard is done!

So here are the pictures that I promised everyone. The before, during and after (they are kind of in that order). I have to give a special thanks to Jason, Jeff, Rick, Ryan, Andy and as you can see we even put our little nephew Cameron to work. Don't worry Faun we had Jason's approval. :) lol! Most importantly I have to thank my husband Kris, he worked so hard and did everything perfectly. Your my HERO! :)

Dating... Marriage... and now Eternity...

Kris and I have had a wonderful 1st year of marriage. We have grown closer with each other, family and also with the Lord. We would like everyone to know that we appreciate the love, help, and support that we have received through this first year. We would also like to let everyone know that we love each other so much that we want to make our family an eternal one. So I am so happy to announce that Kris and I will be taking out our own Endowments and being Sealed to each other for Time and all Eternity in the Las Vegas LDS Temple in the month of November we are hoping on Saturday the 15th. We love you all and again thanks for everything! :)

Elder McFarland

Just a little update about my brother Colton that is serving a LDS Mission in Rosario, Argentina. He arrived safe and sound. He is really enjoying the people and different culture. The language is starting to feel more natural and he is understanding more each day. The people are very humble and giving. He feels bad that they offer him a lot of food when they don't have much. His companion tells him it is there way of showing you there love and appreciation. He is laboring for the Lord and doing his best to share the Gospel. Colton has always been a great example to his friends and family. We are so proud of him and we know he will give it his all!
